Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Zigma (“Zigma”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the Zigma mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Zigma is operated by Volodymyr Markiv. If you have any questions, contact us via our support page.
The short version
You can use Zigma without giving us your name or email. Your progress photos, measurements, and journal are private to your account and you can delete them — and your whole account — at any time from inside the app. We use a small set of trusted providers to run the app and to understand anonymous usage. We do not sell your personal data.
Information we collect
- Account. When you start using Zigma we create an anonymous account with a random identifier. No email or name is required. You may optionally add a display name.
- Onboarding answers. The choices you make during setup (such as age range, goals, and focus areas) so we can personalize your plan.
- Activity. Tasks you add and complete, your journal entries, streaks, and your weekly Progress Score.
- Progress photos & measurements. Photos and body measurements you choose to add to track visual progress. These are stored privately and are only used to show your own progress inside the app.
- AI coach messages. The questions you send to the in-app AI coach, so we can generate a reply.
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription or trial, provided through our payments partner. We never receive your full card details.
- Usage & device data. Anonymous analytics events (for example, which screens are opened and which features are used), plus basic technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, and approximate region. This data is not linked to your name, and never includes your photos or journal text.
How we use your information
- To provide the app and keep your data in sync across launches.
- To personalize your plan, recommendations, and Progress Score.
- To process and restore your subscription.
- To generate AI coach responses to your questions.
- To understand how the app is used so we can fix issues and improve it.
- To respond to your support requests.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (to provide the app and your subscription), on the basis of our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the app), and with your consent where required (for example, optional analytics). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Service providers we share data with
We use a small number of processors to run Zigma. We do not sell your personal data.
- Supabase — secure hosting, database, and storage for your account and content.
- RevenueCat & Apple — to manage and process your subscription. Payments are handled by Apple; we do not see your payment card.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics, hosted in the European Union. We do not enable session recording, and we do not send personal content (no photos, journal text, measurement values, names, or emails) to analytics.
- OpenAI — to generate AI coach replies and your progress feedback. For the coach we send your chat messages and the article context; for progress suggestions and your Progress Score summary we send your focus areas, body measurements, and score figures (as numbers only — never your name, email, or photos). This is processed only to generate the response and is not used to train OpenAI’s models.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual photos and entries at any time, or delete your entire account from Settings → Delete account in the app, which removes your account and associated content from our systems. You can also reach us through our support page and we will handle the request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us at our support page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls so that your private content is only accessible to your account. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data.
Children
Zigma is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, please use Zigma only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated in the app.
